I like to get a fish in the boat as soon as possible. Nice sandie at the bait tank for the Kidd.

Chris put his first fish on the boat at the bait tank as well. At least we know he can catch something.

We anchored up for one last shot at em. We topped of the sacks with a few more bass and barries.

George caught this nice Sand Bass on the New Del Mar. George said, "It pulled out some line!"

We left Newport at 9pm and headed over to Catalina. The plan was either to buy squid, or make it for some seabass fishing. There were no squid boats around, but luckily the Ultra crew was able to get some squid to float. The crew worked through most of the night and early morning, and were able to make enough squid to last the entire day. We started fishing in the gray, with most of the fleet. There were a few breezer yellows in the area, which resulted in a few hookups on nearby boats. Our first bite of the day was this grumpy sandbass caught by Sigmund.

On the first stop we got instant action. The fishing was good on both bait and plastic. Larry was doing well fishing plastics.

Tyler hooked up...

Both Tino and Tyler caught a lot of fish today. Then they went into the galley and took a nap.

Scott SLAYED the sandies on the plastics. He was using a yellow leadhead with a cotton-candy blam.

I got in on the action too.

Mike did well today too.

Albert was killing 'em today.
